Also in December 2021, CERAH sought an inquiry under the GDIMY coalition to examine existing Malaysian legislation, regulations and rules of civil and or criminal proceedings to protect people’s human rights to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment.
mp’s pledge
Beginning August 2022, CERAH called on all Members of Parliament to sign the pledge to recognise every person’s right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment as part of Malaysians’ fundamental liberty under Article 5(1) of the Constitution, and to support future legislation, Constitutional amendments, policies and programmes to this end.
